The Women's Federation of Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture (in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region) recently conducted an activity, during which the federation's workers and volunteers publicized, among residents, information about the revised Law on the Protection of Rights and Interests of Women, which took effect on January 1, 2023.
The federation invited Wu Haizhen, a lawyer with Xinjiang Changxinhe Law Office, to provide a lecture to help women increase their knowledge about the law. Through the activity, organizers have helped the women raise their awareness about the importance of respecting, studying, observing and using the law.
